The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering expert services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency stated it can be alarmed with regard to the substantial range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The provider issue created for intervention encounters a large influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it tough with the office to attend to all people who visit here a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional sources to help the servicing of all buyers and improve usage of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
